Recently, I have begun working with receipts as my primary medium. Receipts, collected daily, can be transformed from their function as trademarks and everyday detritus (paper items) to something that captures and stops a specific moment. These works become an abstract version of a still life or landscape through which the viewer can see a particular moment in their own life.
